crown vic

if everyone listened to your logic you'd have people thinking da 1969 charger on b bodies was exactly da same as da chargers from this

generation based on da LX platform

next time zip that mouth until you know what you're talking about.
Maybe you need to read what you copy and pasted again little fella.  Oh, I forgot your the same dude who doesn't consider himself black never mind, carry on.

The Mercury Marauder was based on an updated version of the Ford Panther platform that was introduced for 2003. The Marauder had a naturally aspirated 4.6 L V8 DOHC Ford Modular engine producing 302 hp (225 kW) and 318 ft·lbf (431 N·m) of torque; this engine had many parts — including heads, cams, block and rotating assembly — in common with the 2003–2004 Mustang Mach 1 Automatic and the 2003–2005 Lincoln Aviator. The Marauder featured a dual exhaust system with unique tailpipe tips, with newly developed chassis and suspension modifications – such as moving the rear shocks outboard of the frame rails, which were later made available for the Crown Victoria and Grand Marquis. The Marauder was fitted with the 4R70W 4-speed automatic in 2003 and received the upgraded 4R75W 4-speed automatic for 2004. Both years featured the aluminum drive shaft from the Ford Crown Victoria Police Interceptor. The limited slip differential with a 3.55 rear axle ratio was standard fitment on all Marauders.

basically, you do some suspension work, axel ratio change, and either supercharge da 2 valve, or swap in a 4 vavle..but if you're going thru da

trouble of swapping a engine you might as well get a coyote engine from da new 5.0 that makes 400ish horsepower.
Where did you get this bs from.  The Marauder was based on a updated version of the Marauder from the 60's.  This copy and paste nonsense on NT has to stop.  You don't have to pose like your the all insight one who knows all NT. :rolleyes

What are you talking about ?

The Marauder is BASED on the Panther platform shared with the Lincoln TC, Mercury GM and Ford CV. The NAME is shared with the Marauder of the 60s, but thats where it stops. Saying its bases on the Marauder of old is like saying the New LX platform Charger is based on the Bee body Charger of the 60s... Theyr'e not even close.

The Marauder is really kind of a parts bin car.... Body and Chassis sourced from a Vic... Motor sourced from a Cobra...

you're leaving out other pertinent info such as are you going 5A to 6M, etc
Why would this be pertinent information if all I'm asking is for Engine and ******?

What other information, might you need to answer the question?

The reason for the question is, because I really just want to do the swap without having to do anything else. If I have to start modding other stuff, I'll just get an 04-06 Engine and ******.

how is that not pertinent to know if you're going from 5A to 6M or not? my god do you not understand how a car works?

budget is also an important parameter.

sure-- it would have said edited, though.

you and OP must be the same person.
just quit man! for a man calling for the wait period, you are really trolling! Everyone knows if you do an edit, right after post there will be no such edited remark at the bottom!

Because my question was simple!

If I wanted to go from A to M, I would of have included that information. I'm sorry that reading comprehension is not your strong suit. In regards to the budget, wait, I didn't talk about budget.

Simple questions.

Do I need to do additional work (like mods) to fit a 2008 Acura TL Engine and ****** (A) to a 2004 Acura TL (Base) w/A ******?

yet you ask how much work and how difficult it would be.

yeah dude to answer your question then:

if you have enough money you can do anything you want.

Naw playa!!!

Do you know how much the coyote motor cost? They will set u back at least 8,000.00, why do that when homie can save his money and put it into the Crown Vic or Grand Marquis that he already has..

I really want a mercury marauder, but they are hard to come buy.  What type of mods could I do to a crown vic or a grand marquis to get similar output?

The Marauders are pretty stout from the factory but the top speed was limited to about 120.. Anything above that u had serious driveshaft vibration..
If you want some power from the 2valve you can get the heads ported and polished.. Or you can do a little searchin and cop some stage 1 or 2 heads from Patriot Performance.. I wouldn't do a cam on a crown vic but to each is own.. Long-tube headers, x-pipe or h-pipe with a nice catback will have you sounding right and it will give u some good gains especially if you cop'd some heads to go along with it.. I would suggest an aftermarket driveshaft as well because like the Merc the factory ones weren't all that strong.. I would go with a 3.55 or 3.73 rear end too, nothing higher than that tho, 4.10's would kill your mpg.. A nice throttle body, cold air intake, and a dyno tune should have u right.. 93 octane tune too, if im not mistaken the Crown Vics and Grand Marquis run on 87 gas..

If your not about that naturally aspirated life there's always boost.. However, I don't know that much about turbocharging and supercharging to lend any advice..

^curious also to how super/turbo chargers work
Like I an idea of how but not solid

Ninjahood, do me a solid and help me out?

da homie Ctidda already broke it down, supercharging is basically making it into a monster by intoducing it to forced induction, but i wouldn't do that

until all da internals are worked on to support da extra boost.

Ah I see , a month or two back I believe I asked you about those foxbody mustangs

Let's say it wasbone friggn stock

Could I put a supercharger on it or I might as well throw another engine in it?

This is key... Forged internals and cars that run boost are a match made in heaven.
I've never owned a car with forced induction but I do have understanding of how it works..
You can run boost on the 4.6L modular motors all day long, they actually respond better to boost than they do bolt on's.. However, the stock 2 valve won't handle much more than about 470-480rwhp.. If you want more power you're gonna need forged internals, because the stock pistons can't handle the power.. The 03-04 Cobra motors and the GT500 motors were made for boost, so they came with forged pistons from the factory..
If you wanna skip the n/a route and go for boost make sure you have it properly tuned.. A good 400-450 rwhp is good enough and will surprise alot of people on the street.. That would be a ill sleeper now that I think about it..
