if you enjoy almost any major breweries beers than you are just drinking to drink

learn about some craft beers and really do a little research to enjoy how good a beer really can be

When i'm home, I go with the Glass or the random Steins I own. My chair got a built in cupholder so it fits perfectly while watching sports.

Bottle>Glass>Can

And FYI, the reason a lot of people drink Corona and Heineken in Vegas is because they only come in bottles, not on tap. When the casino is giving away drinks people tend to think that drafts are watered down or that the tap is dirty, therefore they order a Corona or Heineken to ensure quality.

The proper way is out of a glass, and depending on the beer dictates what type of glass to use. It brings out the flavors much more this way, same with wine.

Let's just stop this noise and have both of you post ur 3 favorite beers of all time that you like to drink at the pad...
3 favorite beers?

here are some breweries that I drink at the pad

Rogue
New Belgium
Dogfish head
Deschutes
Stone
Russian River
Lagunitas

don't think rent a cop boy even knows much about any of these breweries at all

No offense, but the  beers you listed a vastly overrated.  they're what alot of "hip college kids" list to show how their taste in beer is classy. they list those same beers like they on that hipster kitty meme "corona? too mainstream. i prefer the smooth taste of dogfish head IPA"  and i'm like %$$% real men drink bourbon.

Rogue and Dogfish head are pretty good

but again, you haven't tapped the surface of good beers yet.

I'll put up a list later and hopefully you'll try them out. a bit pricey but worth it

good start though.

Dudes really in here fighting over beer? Lames

Both of ya'll AND Burrito's late game cheerleader need to just log out.

Drink what ya'll want, beer is a mans drink. As a man how you going to let another man tell you what to drink?
There's no point in getting into a squabble about it and potentially getting banned.

cans are for shotgun only.

glad i checked in to see who wins the "eclectic brew championship belt"

with all the bickering going on in this thread, I think a lot of people missed a great point that bonde111 made.

by no means am i a beer snob as i still enjoy crushing a case of bud light on the golf course (cans or bottles it dont matter).  but if i am drinking something with a bit more flavor, i will usually pour it into a proper glass.  a solid IPA for instance is much better suited for drinking out of a glass as it really does affect the flavor of the beer.

offtopic (kinda) - for those saying that RR, Stone, Dogfishhead are terrible, can you point me in the right direction of what is good?  I'm always looking to branch out and try new IPA's.  Heading up to Sonoma, CA for a few days to take the wife wine tasting, and I definitely plan on hitting up the RR Brewery and drink copious amounts of Pliny the Elder.

The truth is, can prevents 'light' pollution, but in the end, nothing beats tap. But for the sake, it doesn't matter for me.

It's all about the 40 ozs and it's the BOTTLE, the SWIG, the SWIRL and the BITE!

Thank you!! Check out Firestone Walker from Paso Robles, CA. Looks like it's a drive from Sonoma, but I'm sure you'll be able to find some bottles easily around the area you'll be traveling. They just released their XV Anniversary beer that is supposed to be mighty good. Parobola by them is amazing too. I've had one other, and that was the Union Jack on tap. These guys know their stuff from the rest of their ratings on BA.

RunningFishy* That is very true. It's much better than even your brown bottles. Actually a lot more breweries are getting into canning their beers, which is great. Tap beer is good, sometimes it shows another angle in taste. Had that happen with Bell's Two Hearted Ale. A lot more hop bitterness in the bottle, and apricot comes after, it's the exact opposite when I had it on tap 2 weeks ago. A lot more fruit up front, with bitterness being much more mellow.

@RufioRufioRufio--All of those breweries listed make some pretty highly rated beers. Yes Rogue has a lot of hit and misses(I've drank most of what they both offer), and New Belgium is the same for that matter. Dogfish I've only personally tasted their 90 min IPA, and have some Burton Baton that was just delivered to me 2 days ago that I need to try. Can't knock DFH for being very experimental with what they are doing. Mixed reviews on their stuff on BA, but they get a lot of respect for how they run their business, and sheer creativity.

And@your comment about real men drink Bourbon....Please....I really enjoy some Bourbon now and then, but I much prefer Scotch Whiskey, but I'm not going to be ignorant and say you aren't a man if you don't drink Bourbon....I'd be curious as to what your list consists of for beers. I'm not trying to hate on you either, and maybe you were just being funny with your Bourbon comment. just wanting to have a good convo on a topic I love
