Eh, feels like nylon perhaps. Not leather but not plastic either. Quality is so so. I got a couple glue stains...

I think when the app updates it resets Touch ID. But I could be wrong

I've had the app ask for a password on previous releases when I specifically checked off Touch ID in the app. It can be pretty random...

Luckily this time around it asked for my thumbprint. Definitely shaves off those critical seconds
