He is not wrong.

White males have a monopoly over the power structures in this country. Especially affluent white males.

It is not only about breaking down the system of white supremacy, and enforcing economic and civil rights, but also creating barriers to keep the system of white supremacy from morphing and coming back even stronger to continue the plunder. Having the people in power be drawn from many different races, ethnic groups, religions (including non believers), classes, genders, etc., will help do that. Just look out for cornballs.

It is not about purging white people out of power completely, it is about there being equal representation and diversity of opinions within decision making process within American institutions.

America's failure to do so this is at the root of many of our social and economic problems.
