Over rated imo.

But with high end steakhouses, its usually just personal preference. Personally, i love El Gaucho.

I agree. If I had a choice of steakhouses, they wouldn't be first on my list. But if you're going because of the view and ambience, go to Salty's on Alki instead ..and request a window seat.

I personally enjoy Ruth's Chris' porterhouse

Good place. I usually have the porterhouse there too...but I prefer the one at Ruth's Chris. Wifey and I had the chateau briand the last time we were at the Met and that was damn good

Daniel's is pretty good but it's not The Met, that's for sure. I go to Daniel's in Bellevue for the lounge. It's a great atmosphere and best piano bar around. I went to The Met a month ago for the first time and it's pretty incredible.

I had a 24oz New York at El Gaucho on Sunday. $84 for a steak is a bit OD, but a few times a year you just gotta do it.

I couldnt even eat my gaucho potato after that monster.
