I agree with your point. I just don’t see why it’s so controversial. Like we’re we really that invested to be super upset about this?

The Trevor/Mandarin bait & switch in IM3 was poorly received from the jump. How did anybody sign off on a sequel ending basically the same way here?

Aside from the ending, a sequel just wasn't needed. It's basically a cash grab at this point

A sequel would have been ok maybe if it expanded on the character. But with what I mentioned in my spoiler tag earlier, no this definitely was not necessary now.

They could have simply made a movie about him being going to court and escaping court
And sprinkle some Harley Quinn in there since she’s a fan girl anyway
The ending wasn’t needed it like he devolved as a character
