YES

i got with this bad lil thang wit her head on right

1. i was a broke boy (although she still wanted to **** wit me)

2. i had a girl at the time

I can cherrypick off of most of the posts in here. My issue right now is I have two that make legitimate cases to be THEE one:

Chick 1: Been down for damn near 9 years. We dated for 1 year in HS, she went to my college, cheated on my first college GF with her, been "unofficially on and off" since. She knows about every woman I've been with and yet she can't let go. Don't like her mother or care for her family too much, don't see myself having a fam with her but she shows glimpses. Holds me down like a wife, will do anything for me.

Chick 2: The 1st woman I did it right with. Courted her just to get her #. Talked/remained friends for over a year. We eventually started dating for about 4 months THEN we made it official. I ended it 1 month in because I felt like, ironically, things were moving too fast (met all her fam my first visit up to her...like granny and all, saying I love you, planning lives together w/ dual incomes and ****). We start see each other when we can as I'm in SoCal and She's in NorCal...just got back from spending the weekend with her. She's so dope but she smothers me a lot because shes afraid of losing me. Love her fam and her fam loves me, I feel comfortable and she knows me/I know her. I'm just afraid of hurting her.

So in regards to the post and with #2 as an example, yes there is a such thing but it's usually associated with immaturity as someone said. Use me and a tale of caution and really think about who you want to spend the rest of your life with before you jump into a commitment.

Distance killed it we tried but distance and school were too much to weigh

Any girl I meet for the next few years honestly. I'm in a transitional period right now, and my number one priority happens to be acquiring currency, and that takes time. Having a relationship of any value takes a significant amount of (time). I've been given ultimatums twice in the past 6 months, from two separate females. It's tough but you have to look out for your needs and stand strong. They have to get with it, or get out.

Haven't looked completely through the thread but I think "right person, wrong time" is something I'm going through now.

The girl I want is a few years younger, still in college and her school is hours away from me. Not trying to go through that headache of long distance...:{

it happens. the catch is when you wrong a woman during the 'not ready' stage (assuming her feelings are invested), she'll be harboring that resentment when or if you decide you finally are ready to settle down.

So, do you think at this point if the right person came along you would not just be about something physical? Or do you think you would choose between career and relationship?
I would like to think so. My fear is settling because others are and time is "running out" as the good ones go.

Balance between career and relationships is challenging. I have ambitious goals and any roadblocks will be eliminated.

I just walked by the BADDEST nurse at work, bruh. She's mad cool, too, but everytime i see her i either gotta keep it HR cordial or straight up ignore her, cause if I went at her on that level we would click way too easily and i would just treat her like dog**** and i don't even wanna do that to her.

like, i see myself fallin in love for like a solid week and then using her badness and position in life to feed my ego and get tired of her.

but me like 6 months from now? that guy would be on her like lamekilla's co-workers on draya.

i'm in a SUPER transitional point in my life right now in terms of the city i live in and my job. 6 months from now my life will be completely different, and for any broad i cant see myself just smashing without taking on dates and whatnot i'm not even tryna deal with it.

Bachelors lose friends to marriage and children indirectly. Less time for guy stuff. Football, drinking, gym, chasing women.

Bachelors often get excluded from the couple stuff because our plus-ones are seen as unstable or uncomfortable with the group.

Nope, never. Tell her to ride shotgun and everything's going to be alright..

oh snap, i forgot all about the age thing

i know for a fact there are a ton of good young girls (im 24 turning 25 april) ages 17-20 who are legit fine and want to be mine, but ill never actually cuff a girl younger than me

all my exs are my age or older (not that many girls, i aint trynna flex)

^:{

I'm 23 going on 24 next month. The chick who is feeling me is 19 and still has 2.5 years left of school left. It sucks fam but I know I can't hold my breathe on this one...

On to the next...

I believe thats what made me and my ex break up. Im 28 and ready to settle down and she is 23 and wants to party. We clicked on so many levels and the chemistry was there, but we just have two different aims in our lives right now. We split on good terms and we still talk for the most part. She is a good girl and at that age I was the same way so I couldnt be mad.

The timing just wasnt right. Both of our parents like the other person and I just invited her dad to go to the duke syracuse game next month to celebrate his bday. So while our situation my have not been right at the moment whose to say that it wont eventually.

This is sort of where I am now.  I've talked, or remained friends with this girl for about a year now and I'm beginning to feel like it's time to figure out where this is going.  Logically a relationship would be the next step, and my gut is telling me that this is what she wants, but for some reason I've been hesitant to take it there.  I've chalked it up to me being focused and involved with other things, but at the same time I don't want to look back on this and think about "what could've been."

Sounds like she'll marry you in a few years once the partying is out of the system.

It takes a few "bad guys" or flings to appreciate a good one. Who's to say you won't meet a better girl, her risk.

Looking back I can pinpoint the moment when she was finally done. We were having a great time and after several months she said "I think i'll have sex with you now :)", I gave her a hearty "***** please" laugh. I don't know why, I guess I wanted her to know that P doesn't rule my world.

Too real. I feel the same way.

My worst fear is being Mr.CEO, and then realizing the accomplishments mean nothing without something real to go home to at the end of the day.

Yes, without question.

I swear, coming to the realization that a chick may have been PERFECTLY ideal to what the future you is the worst, especially after the bridge has already been burned.

Dat hindsight...:{ :{ oh well...:\

Almost makes you tear up at the thought of it, swear I thought I'd never see the day, smh. Thought too soon, but must proceed to progress.

On a serious note, thank you NT fam. I'm taking in all the different angles from this thread, y'all are seeding some great things.
It's nice to be able to have genuine input from other men who've experienced some of the same things....
