i think the deal was close too. Amare was even saying " People say I didnt play well with Shaq, when actually i played and put up better numbers when I played with Shaq, so that won't be a problem"

i never understood deals that fall through like this ... did the Cavs HONESTLY believe they had what it took to compete with the lakers, celtics, magic etc... ? i mean just look at their rosters from a height standpoint ... the Cavs would have been swept by the Lakers and should be doing EVERYTHING in the their power to grab as many 7 footers as possible in the offseason ... thats easy to say now after the seasons over,but during this season the cavs killed all these teams.
they dominated the whole league really.
they dominated L.A. that one game,i think it was christmas day.

Maybe Phoenix didn't want to trade Amare, who knows what really happened? Just because a possible deal was reported doesn't mean anything was certain or offered. Chris Broussard is an idiot, he just makes stuff up just like a lot of reporters do.

Phoenix might not have wanted to trade Amare, He did aight in the playoff series, They kno his worth. Hicksons nice but it depends on when u want the chip now or later, Now...U take Amare, Later...U take Hickson.
And Boston was only nice in the eastern conference, Thats not saying much. The west would dominate em easily

So yea and when the cavs got eliminated everybody was saying how Lebron had no help and that danny ferry sucked as a gm...lol
