Difference between IMAX and Digital 3d?

Planning to watch avatar tonight, whats the difference between IMAX and Digital 3D?

IMAX is as High Def as it gets.

3D is 3 dimensions. You wear glasses for 3D

There is IMAX 3D as well but theaters with that are limited.

I would chose 3D
