super exhausting two days but it was amazing
wednesday was kost 103.5 xmas after party at DCA 9pm to 1am (didnt get home til 3am)
slept for 2.3 hours and back up again because i got an invite to have lunch at the promise land and was only gon’ chill for a ride or two afterwards but ended up staying til closing
exhausted and tired today but still got a huge smile on my face

slept for 2.3 hours and back up again because i got an invite to have lunch at the promise land and was only gon’ chill for a ride or two afterwards but ended up staying til closing

food was amazing for the most part and they do not skimp on the alcohol on drink like they do in the rest of the park
its a four course meal and food changes by the season (i believe there are also five course meal for dinner)
a nice touch is you can ask if you can take the menu home, i was hoping that meant the hardcover menu itself but its just the page, it rolled like a scroll and placed in an awesome club33 bag and they included a few cardboard coasters as well - not gon say no to freebies
i got the kampachi crudo for an appetizer and it is probably the best part of the whole meal but i also love sushi/sashimi so this is great
my friend got the frito misto and its pretty much vegetable tempura but maybe the best vegetable tempura ever made, the spicy aioli also took the dish up a notch
my second course is the salad of beets with goat cheese and it is another great dish, hands down the best beets ive ever had, it was fresh and sweet and just plain good and pairs real well with the cheese
for the entree, i got the beef and dumplings and it was good but might be the worst of the 4 course meal, it just needed more meat, no one wants the 3 big cheddar biscuits soaked in the sauce, its heavy and while really good, it just shouldnt be the star of the dish, there was also only a few pieces of beef in there and i think i got one piece of bacon
my friend didnt finish her ravoili so i got to try one and i heavily preferred it over what i got
mu choice for dessert was the candy cane yule log, i dont usually like minty chocolate dishes but this one was very nicely done, it wasnt overpowering on the peppermint and was just refreshing, also went real well with the mint julep cocktail i got
pics of the other desserts on the table, i didnt really get to try because everyone finished em
its not the best meal of my life becuase the main dish brought it down, that was also that i felt like had the worst choices, i needed hearty steak or duck in there but its really not even a question if go back if invited again

i feel like i went ham but also felt like i shoulda gotten more, extremely disappointed they didnt have a hat but i asked my friend to just get me one if they are back and see it
got my friends one ear of each and goddamn they wore it afterwards while walking in the park and women were drooling all over em
for me, im never drinking from another glass again (the one on the left is the seasonal collector glass that you can order while you dine and they give you a new one to take home, during the summer i believe it was a tiki mug which woulda been cooler but beggars cat be choosers)

So we’re headed 12/28 pray for me bros, I know it’ll be a mad house but this is our kids Christmas gift. My daughter has been asking to go back and it’ll be our sons first time. Debating on doing genie + though.

definitely do genie+ especially if everyone can ride attractions
crowd might not be too bad, APs are all blocked out that week
i mean is peak xmas season so it’ll be full but i dont think its gon be as bad
just slow it down a little, enjoy the time your family and have fun
plus with genie+, make sure to use the photopass, that is included and i think many do not take advantage of them, save those memories

It was just shut for a major refurb this year. But damn that ride is closed all the time and half broken when working. Wouldn’t be surprised. Better off than constantly closing down.
