do you know how to write in cursive?

I know someone who they skipped a grade because of flawless handwriting..they looked at it as a gift
wish I went to that school..

I used to write and draw alot. Now its just typing and digital drawing when I do graphic design. My handwriting used to change with my mood cus I can write in an array of different styles. Man, I used to forge signatures and stuff for people when I was young (and dumb). Parents signatures on report cards and tests. Permission slips and what not. :smh: I made a lil change of kids throughout my school career.

I'm rusty at it but I still remember. I took it upon myself in highschool to start back writing in manuscript once it wasn't required.

I know how, and I feel bad for those who don't. I asked a client of mine to sign a form and he told me he doesn't know how to write in cursive. I was shocked.

i don't work in education, but i think the big thing right now is teaching kids/teenagers how to "code/program computer languages" i wish i had that when i was kid/teen growing up.
these coding classes would have helped me in hs for college cs courses

in my hs back then programming was available for ap math kids

I agree, I self taught myself to code senior year in HS, but didn't take it seriously till I got to college when I change my major to CS. Best descion ever.

My name and capital letters like somebody else said, i was Taught but completely forgot.

I barely can print , **** cursive lol

My handwritng is cursive with a hint of print thrown in especially when i write fast.

Other than that my print is trash. Cursive stay inpressing the ladies. Its rather interesting.

Signing your name isn’t really the same tho. Some people just write out one long *** initial or 2 . Hell my **** looks like the outline of a mountain ridge when I sign ****

I love writing in cursive :smokin. Once I learned in grade school I never looked back. I hate writing in print. It’s too slow for me.

Our latest Freakonomics Radio episode is called “Who Needs Handwriting?” (You can subscribe to the podcast at iTunes or elsewhere, get the RSS feed, or listen via the media player above.)

The digital age is making pen and paper seem obsolete. But what are we giving up if we give up on handwriting?

Below is a transcript of the episode, modified for your reading pleasure. For more information on the people and ideas in the episode, see the links at the bottom of this post. And you’ll find credits for the music in the episode noted within the transcript.

Yep still remember those painful 4th grade lessons.

Learning the **** was so boring and I never understood why it was being taught when the way we wrote before was fine.

This is how I felt. I rejected it, I created a mixture of cursive/print.

Kids aren't missing out on anything, stop fooling yourselves people.

“Luxury rap, the Hermes of verses
Sophisticated ignorance, write my curses in cursive
I get it custom, you a customer
You ain't 'customed to going through customs”

They definitely still teach cursive in school, my kid is currently learning it.

If you can’t write in cursive how do you do a signature? Isn’t that basically fancy cursive?
