That's what I left out of my post. I was thinking his number would be retired, but which one? Both? If one were to pick, I would pick 8.

8 has 3 rings..
24 has 0 rings (could have one soon though)..

8 would be the obvious choice in my opinion. They'll retire both though I think.

wow, interesting post. If I was Kobe, I think i'll go in with 24....


Still got my two Lakers jerseys with #8 on it. Love them a lot more.

#8 is unavailable for any Laker to use. One of their newer players (not sure which) wasnt able to get it. They also are keeping #34 unavailable..

I'm thinking they'll retire both. And when it hangs up in the rafters, it'll be one jersey with "8/24" on it.

yup, the abcd camp info was listed on one of his rookie cards that i own

it makes sense to retire #8
but i think if the lakers win it all this year #24 gets the nod as well
