I misspoke, the brand is actually called Japan Blue. There is another Japanese denim brand called Pure Blue Japan. In any case, both companies are known for raw denim. Japan Blue and Momotaro are owned by the same company, I believe.

thanks for posting this. out of my size but hopefully others eat. as much as i like my stretch denim, i’ve been considering getting another pair of raw denims to change it up

These technically aren't raw as they've already been washed / faded, but they are 100% cotton with no stretch. Slightly larger leg opening than I've been used to lately, at least compared to John Elliott. Tight at the waist so I'm hoping they stretch out a little with wear. Nice colors though, and the knee rips actually hit right at my knees (unlike the honeycombs on my JE, which are halfway down my calf and it irks me).

Yeah I got a pair of their Wooster leather slip ons from Marshalls for like $40. Quality is definitely there but can be found on deep discount at Nordstrom Rack etc.
