Dressing Better Vol 2.0

Quick question, for suede shoes (Allen Edmonds, lunargrands, etc) what do y'all use to clean them? Just any suede cleaner kit (if so ill just get one off amazon with prime)? Also do y'all spray them with waterproofer or anything before wearing them? Just wanted to know since some leave darker stains on the suede from what I've seen.

Thanks!

I have a couple of selvedge denim jeans I want to go get tapered this week, are there some things I should keep in mind when bringing them to the seamstress? i read a few pages back something about tapering them along the inseam?

Not sure how to phrase this question but does the type of collar your shirt is matter with the tie? if the shirt is spread collar or slim point type you wouldn't wear a skinny tie (2 ½" width)
Someone correct me if I'm wrong but the type of collar needs to be consistent with the tie knot, not the tie itself. If you're wearing a jacket, the tie width at it's widest point should match the lapel width

Correct. Although, I don't believe 2.5" is considered a "skinny" tie. It's more of a "in the middle" tie.

Close up shot of today's fit:

Looks nice, but I think the tie bar is a bit too low.

This. You need to get some better fitting pants or get them tapered. Unless your provide pics of pants that you think are too tight, I would be inclined to say that your body can not be that disproportionate.
:hat :hat :hat Once you cope those RL tassel loafers, you're going to be killing it this summer my man.

Today:

I know the color of the suit will be a love/hate thing :lol

Really feeling that suit Wis! Thick as Thieves, correct? It appears that fabric is sold out currently, unfortunately. My biggest qualm with them is that I noticed their fabrics always look better in real life than they do on their "Fabrics" page so it's hard to get an indication of what the suit might look like in person.

For anyone interested, everything is 30% off at Express until Monday and not sure if applicable every where but at my store they let me stack coupons on top of the 30%...Someone needs to pick up that salmon colored blazer...

I can't wear anything under 3" :x

Bingo. But most folks don't know this "rule" I think. Women on the other hand can get away with wearing men's stuff :lol

Of course they can, they basically shop in our department after they ransack their own genders stuff :lol

Women has a bigger range than men since there are a lot of aesthetic. A skinny gal looks great either with clothes in her size or 3XL for the super slouchy look. My boss shops in both sections (men's and women's) and pulls off the look nicely.

It depends on your age, and physique too. 3" is standard, 2.5" is slim, anything lower is pretty skinny. I'm at 2.5" myself, and probably will be a 3" or so when I get older.

Correct.

Leaving for work this morning and noticed I received a package yesterday that no one told me about. So I brought in with me to work and took pictures.

Figured the jacket was bespoke. Is the collar on the shirt a spread collar?

yeah - its a spread ... somewhere in between your regular RTW spread and a cutaway, but with longer points. helps frame my face better.

Thinking about getting a custom Oxford made at Hamilton 1883 out here in Houston.. Off the rack is not working for me.. Anyone know of any other stores or online retailers that do custom shirts at a reasonable price?
