Dressing Better Vol 2.0

'Semi stuffy' setting shouldn't have a play on how to button the jackets. All of the individuals I know, from low rankings to the top 1% individuals that work in conservative setting know the proper way to button jackets. There are other weird stuff they have to worry about, ie dress well to represent the clients, but not too well to the point where the clients think they're over paying :lol The only reason you should button the jacket like that is if you're going for an avant garde appeal.

Avant Garde is what I'm all about. I work around Nothing but 1%'ers , they seem to like it, as do the Females around the office.... But I am the Different Guy around the Office through and Through, Which so far has been a very good thing.

Just scooped it off of eBay for $76 shipped. I had the black Cement one also and sold it. Regret that ish. Dude is selling one on eBay for $400 or something now. :{
I have this bag and the are poorly made, I would pass and stick to North Face or Herschel.
I don't want to be that guy but Herschel's quality is anything but great, the quality of their bags is simply... Meh.

Nothing about your outfit is avant garde though. If you want to go that route, you need to go a la Comme Des Garcons, Rick Owen, Yohji, etc. Going that route is more for the artistic type, most are not appropriate for even the most relaxed work office. But if you like the outcome, go for it. You asked for suggestions so I gave some.

And Like it that I do. I feel Very Comfortable in How I dress, and Others seem to compliment me on it on the regular, SO I'm very pleased thank you very much. Ahh But you don't work where I do .. But I digress... You Like what you Like and I like what I like, that Simple.

No offense intended but those suit combos don't indicate anything avant garde. To me, not buttoning the bottom button has as much to do with function and movement as it does with appearance. It sounds like you're gonna do what you do in spite of asking for advice, maybe I'm off base.

In terms of what you posted, the black suit & shirt, pose and mirror pic make it hard to tell how everything fits. 2nd jacket looks like it fits pretty well, can't really tell sleeve and shirt length. I think the black shirts don't look good at all, kinda zoot suit-esque or catering/restaurant service, especially the first.

Black on black like that looks so lame bro... Looks so like " gaudy "
Doesn't really show that you know how to dress, id imagine you'd rock the "bred" 11s with those...

The color schemes just aren't good ya know

Why Would you assume that I wear "Breds" with my suit. That's a pretty Ignorant comment to make. And who types Bro? I guess its Gaudy to you sorry about that, I'm from South Florida Originally and now I live in LA, so I guess it all depends where your from(Dunno??). And really Who wears Sneakers with Suits, that's Some hood non-sense. I couldn't get into my office like that, and I work in Financial Services, for AEGON group look them up sometime... But we all have our Opinions on what we like.

Oh.

The Critique is Fine, none it offends me, as long as its intelligent with actual points of opinion, which all of you did except for one. Hey it is what it is. I like it you don't its not a big deal. Thanks for your opinions.

Can you post a full-body photo without your arm up? I know you're trying to show off the watch, but in order to see the fit, your arm needs to be on the side.

I'm also not a fan of the black shirt w/ black jacket. I actually am not a fan of either. I think black dress shirts are for high school kids and black suits are for classical musicians and waiters.

I personally feel that if you work in a business environment with 1%ers you should stick to light undercolors, they look far more professional, the dark/black undershirt and red tie just seems to bold for an office, first thing I thought off is an Express mannequin...if you were a club promoter I'd say those colors would work better....that's more of a personal opinion of mine, I HATE black shirts, only way I'd consider one is with a black suit, black tie.

sorry to have offended you... i wasnt really trying to say you would wear that combo specifically (came off as that way) but its just something i can imagine some hood booger wearing with that color scheme...

yup club promoter, maybe mafia boss :lol

Well Once upon a time I used to work in the Music industry and worked with clubs in South Florida, Dunno Light suits or Colors I've honestly never liked.. I always Felt Black or Grey was a muted thing non-flashy thing.. In Florida people always wear Bright loud suits, my color-scheme was always the opposite. No nothing illegal going with me, I have to answer to FINRA and the SEC.. so nothing that interesting... But I suppose trying something lighter in tone wouldn't hurt,

Ahh makes sense that you would like that color scheme...is seriously not my cup of tea, but being in the music industry and club scene, you can definitely pull those colors....btw by light colors I meant mostly whites, I always thought, your tie should be that splash of color you need...everything else should be basic.

How are you going to ask for advice/opinion/critique then someone gives you constructive criticism and you blow it off?

I've seen people compliment the worst fitting suits, not buttoning the bottom button is a general rule. Seems like you're ignoring it. Which is fine, just don't pull a Manti Teo and stubbornly try to feed BS reasons.

Hate to be negative, but seeing the back and forth was frustrating.

But you work in an office bruh...or did I read wrong?...those glasses are cool, but you are a little too much on the bold end if the executive look is what you are going for...

Iron Man, I'm not blowing it off... wow someone got offended for no reason, All I said is I like what I like and others opinions varied from this.. How is that Blowing off an opinion???

I do work in an office, I only wear the Glasses outdoors. Never indoors that's doing way too much. As Far as Dress shirts go I have varying colors from , light blue shrits , to Grey, light purples, very light sky blue, etc.. only about 2 in whole wardrobe are white. Pants of Varying colors except White.

This. Always take your suits to the tailor. When you're new to the suit game you might think I looks good but after you first tailoring experience you'll notice the difference.
I have over a dozen suiting pieces from Suit Supplu so I can vouch for them. The quality is good and at my current statin life, the price point is perfect for a suits or blazers that I can wear when I go out on weekends without being upset if it gets spilled on or something. The fit is top notch and their various styles tend to fit everyone's taste.

Did you order online or go to the store? I've always gone to the one in NYC and since their GQ spread the in-store experience has changed. As the manager put it "It brought in a lot of riff raff" but I'm sure the outcome is more income for them so they can't be too mad. I can also say they're in-store tailoring prices are reasonable and the work is pretty good.

Question, when you buy a suit from this place do you buy it off of the rack and have it fitted to your specifications or do you get your suits tailored made from them?

I'm thinking about visiting the location here in D.C. to purchase a suit.
