the owner has already sided with the manager, i doubt you can change his/her mind.
lesson learned.  if you're going to talk crap about somebody, do it during a conversation so there's no physical evidence.  no text messages, emails, or facebook.  you can't trust anyone nowadays.

your manager sounds like a sleazy dude.  i'm curious, has he tried to get some from you in the past?

I will add mother, father, boss, Jesus, Allah, God on my facebook if they friend requested me.
Know why???? Cause aint no way in hell I would be stupid enough to say something on any social networking site that can get me in trouble or that may offend any group or people.

The world should learn to do the same.

Social networking sites are only as dramatic as people allow it to be.

^ I agree with your point Diego. Just don't do anything questionable on FB. But I still would rather NOT add any of those characters.

I work for Apple, so I'm probably in a totally different situation for you.

BUT, anything posted on a social networking forum, blog, etc. that can be seen as detrimental or shows any type of conflict in interest is grounds for termination. So it all really depends on the context and what was said, atleast for the company I work for.

*EDIT* To add to this, when I worked at Champs, my boss saw was browsing on one of my coworkers' Myspace pages and saw a comment left on her page "Thanking her for the free shoes!" Better believe she got fired the next time she came in to work.
