Batman wouldnt be as heroic without the Joker, let alone any other villians. Its those that purely evil that make the hero overcome what seems even more than a regular hero... Those villians that are being evil just for the sake of being evil without purpose.

For me, the Joker, by far the best one. Maybe Emperor Palpatine too.
