As far as the underground goes, he's a smidgen overrated. 
When he makes some "REGULAR" beats and doesn't try to be an overly-eclectic Dilla he's dope.

But he rarely does that.

Vezon, check out Los Angeles & 1983 for some of his more tame #%%@.
He has a million loose joints on youtube in that vein as well.
His newer #%%@ is pretty experimental, I see why some can't vibe with it.
