Was deleting some pics from my phone & came across these that I never posted...

Met the mom in law for lunch at a spot called Pappas. They told me Michael K Williams aka Omar from The Wire was there last week for a lunch. Shrimp pasta with vodka sauce.


From 3 weeks ago... first time I had Bubba Gump. Relative wanted to go there for her Bday. Was expecting it to be bad so I went with a safe option of shrimp surf & turf. I asked for medium rare but I got medium. Was pretty good actually.


Some place in Montgomery Co meeting another relative. Shrimp & grits. Grits were perfect. Nice ratio of butter & salt.


Found a pic on Pappas' FB with the managers but I think they're part of the family that owns the place. This place is the embodiment of a neighborhood place. Been around since '72 & has a huge loyal following especially for the old timers. Another place in Bmore in the County at least is Pizza Johns in Essex which has been around since '66.

Good thing you didn’t, cause the assembly was far worse than putting together something from ikea.
