FOOD THREAD VOL. GRUB LIFE

Celebrated our anniversary quarantine style
Ribeye with blue cheese Gorgonzola butter compound
Crab legs
Creamed spinach
Baked potato with Brie and chives
Cheesecake Oreo brownie with talenti caramel cookie crunch

Sightly overcooked the steak :frown: seared it on all sides first. That was my first time making steak but he still liked it. Lesson learned.

Oh and roaming rooster for lunch.

Congrats!!

Trying a chicken today. Just a small one as that’s all the store had.

that’s dope, I like the simplicity.

I feel like you should learn to smoke the real way before you buy a pellet grill.

with that said I want a pellet grill so I don’t have to baby sit.

Think I'm gonna plan another trip to New Orleans once The Rona is over. Love that city.

I want to go to Dooky Chase's. Been to Willie Mae's and Lil Dizzy's. Enjoyed both.

I have a big offset smoker but I’ve never been that pleased with the results - and it was fiddly. I’ve been wanting one of these for a while and they came back into stock last week so I ordered it.

I’m really pleased - it’s super easy. Just load the charcoal bucket, light half a chimney, wait 12 minutes and pour it in and close the lid. It holds really steady about 270° and just works. Everything I’ve done so far has worked well (other than the brisket the other day which was good but I let the fire get slightly low in the middle).

Definitely recommended. When the world gets back to normal I’m going to try and sell my smoker to clear some space - this is also really compact which is nice but it fits just as much food.
