That time of year: A food trip to Manhattan for the Winter Village at Bryant Park. We go every year & had a blast yesterday. Ate & walked around a bunch.

Went to Magnolia Bakery as well & got the Red Velvet Banana Pudding 🤤. I've been eyeing this sucker for years since it's a limited amount they make during the holidays. Got some veggie quesadilla at Puya in Rockefeller Plaza building. It had mushrooms, zucchini, epazote, Oaxaca cheese, sour cream & salsa Verde. Very flavorful & served on a super soft corn tortilla.

At the Winter Village we tried fries from Home Frite. I went with the cheese fries & my sister in law did pizza fries with curry ketchup & garlic aioli. Hers were much tastier then mine. Joey Bats from Joey Bats Cafe has a stall here too & he's known for his Portugese egg custard tarts. They're so damn delicious. She also tried some donut holes from Loca Madres. I had one & they were just meh nothing crazy.

We also stopped in at the Disney & Hershey's store in Times Square. Hershey's had some dope merch. Had to get the Birthday Cake & Frosted Chocolate Donut KitKats. I didn't even know these were a thing. Got some Halal platters from this halal cart called Adel's Famous that my sister in law raves about. Lines were insane there & at Magnolia.

Had a lot of fun. We booked a Holiday scavenger hunt at Rockefeller Center & it was great fun. All the candy inside the cottage was free. My little nephew was ecstatic. I might come back solo to try some more stuff at the Village. Bonus pics of the Rockefeller Center Christmas tree which this year was donated by the McGinley family from Vestal, New York & is approximately 80 feet tall and 43 feet in diameter. It weighs about 12 tons.

I just seen a TikTok someone accidentally ordered that magnolia bakery’s banana pudding thinking it was another bakery (ordered online or delivery)

They tried it and said it was amazing

My question still stands.

Every other post is about naked turkeys that don’t have 90lbs of seasoning on it.

If all I’m tasting is the seasoning list, does the turkey itself even taste good?

I don’t condone pale turkeys, but also am curious to see a 10/10 turkey example to see how a good turkey is seasoned.

In general (since it isn't a turkey) would you call this an over-seasoned bird?

I remember having Home Frites at Smorgasburg years ago. It was good but the lines for that stand used to be insane. I imagine these lines are significantly shorter.

Lines can get crazy long on the weekends here but thankfully we went on a Wednesday & it wasn't bad at all.

Deck The Boards holiday pj's party at my cousins. We all brought shark-coochie boards of different types of food while wearing our best holiday themed pj's fit. We have chaat with puri board, pizza & garlic knots board, dessert board, wings board & spinach paneer & jalapeño poppers board. Pregamed at Taco Bell since we were hungry and running late, lol.
