this dude's rookie season, he played all but 1 game and had 37 homers, 130 RBI's, and an average of .329.

he's had at least 30 HR's, 100 RBI's, and hit well over .300 ever season of his career (7 years.)

his average season = 40 HR's, 123 RBI's, and an average of .331.

been a Rookie of the year, got an MVP (could arguably have a couple more), an LCS MVP, a gold glove, a batting title.

he just turned 28.

proven to be clutch:

and i hate the dude.

He is a force. He puts up numbers every year, and his batting stance is intimidating

Plus dude killed Brad Lidge's career off that pic you posted

co-sign....and he has a ring

I agree with everything except him just turning 28
A lot of Dominican players have faked their age so many times i think he is probably over 30

And no hate on Pujols but i think that he might of taken something
nerd.gif
because he put up ridiculous numbers.

Or maybe the fact that he looks like a middle linebacker

DJ's, i can't believed i failed to mention the fact he got aring.

Dude is 40. My girl is Dominican, her pops is 45 and looks younger than him.

whatever his damn age is, what he's done since he's been inthe league is just dumb. and i just posted the "fun" stats.

Hes a great talent but he has never had speed and first is the easiest position on the diamond. Ryan Howard can do and will do what hes done but can he do 20years of this? He has half Arod service time so he has a long way to go..

i'm not really dismissing A-Rod, i love A-Rod. but Ryan Howard isn't half the hitter Pujols is. will he ever be? highly doubtful.

quick stat: Ryan Howard has struck out 480 times over the last 3 seasons, set the single season record last year with 199.

Pujols has K'd 452 times in his career, with no more than 69 times in a season since his rookie year.

Ryan Howard is a hacker @ the plate...

Pujols is a hitter who happens to have power....

Like, if he didn't have the power, he would still be a viable hitter....

As I was typing that was in the back of my head but I'm just saying those power stats are reachable in 5-7 years. A players greatness is determinedby his longevity so we'll see.
Manny is just a pure hitter. Hes like a pitcher with that bat directing the ball wherever he wants it to go.

he's had a hell of a run, but A-Rod definitely still has him beat.

Manny is my favorite player of all-time, and while he's certainly not the overall best, he's the best hitter i've ever seen. i used to jock hisstance SO hard, with the high shoulder lock and everything.

A-Rod has longevity over Griffey. Griffey in his prime is easily up there though. i think EVERYONE in the mid 90's wanted to be like Griff...
