Forgiving and forgetting

I don't think forgiving and forgetting is good. It's some sentimental crap that's fed to us throughout life. It makes you weak thinking you should forget instances and forget people who put you through these instances. Don't forget, use it to your advantage. I love the pain that I've felt in life (it isn't a lot, but it's there) makes me want to work harder to make myself a better, stronger, more intelligent person. Pain and the hate I have for it is my motivation.

Someone brought up the question to me about giving up and moving on. What's the difference? there is none. In both instances you fail at something. One way is for the weak, the other is for the stronger minded people. Moving on is only a more comforting action, one associated with good images and maturity, the other with images of weakness and self hate with a lack of self worth. The weak soothe themselves with the idea of moving on. It makes them feel better about themselves and the situation or obstacle they weren't able to overcome. Giving up is accepting that failure and never forgetting it. It is up to that strong minded person to use that to their advantage.

Never forget. Not being able to forgive is a very hateful thing IMO. I feel sorry for people like that.

I feel like whenever they ask people who turn 100+ years old, they always answer with they don't stress or hold grudges in their lives. They may be on to something...

Bruh, stress is damn near up there with cigerettes.

Blame yourself as you blame others; forgive others as you forgive yourself

I have issues forgiving, can't even lie. I've lost friends because they've done things that I would never do to them. All I ask for is trust, and when you break that you can pretty much kick rocks in my book. My best friend that I grew up with, knew him since kindergarten, we fell out after I graduated college. He did some really shady **** that I just couldn't understand and we haven't spoke since. I want to know how he's doing from time to time cause we were closer than brothers, but the lack of loyalty and *** backwards actions he showed in this one instance keep me from reaching out. I just can't forgive him, I have no ill feelings towards him but I can't reach out to him, especially since I didn't do anything wrong. It would be cool if we were cool again, but homies actions cut me deep and I just can't forgive at least not now.
