I got a perm in 10th grade (curly), I change my hair style once every semester
-I would recommend it for something different and new
-When it was short I would spike it with gel
-As it grew out I would cut the tips and get layers
-Once it was long I would put it in a pony tail and puff the up the back

No..not white or black...Indian.  Was going for something along the lines of

My hair doesn't have 'volume' so it just stays down...i have a picture from when I was really young and my hair somewhat looked like that guy's.  Over the year I think it has gotten straighter/flatter.
