I usually just ask "what you got on" then "let me see............" then I proceed to say the pic didn't show up so take/send different one.Try then repeat, you can end up with tons of pics before they catch on and laugh about it.

I used to do this all the time when I was in high school. I would get girlfriends and jumpoffs to send me revealing pics. I always preferred them panty and bra pics though, it was always a good enough tease to get me hornier before I undress her and we get to smashing.
Then I think it was either my senior year or freshman year in college and I saw a commercial that was one of them ol' Above the Influence type commercials that looked down on this type of behavior. I really took it seriously I guess.
Haven't asked for them nudes or "revealing" pics since then, still get the responses like "I'm in Tahoe with my family/friends" (with them panties and bras pics of them with/without their friends) type texts.
