Train the mind. A strong mind can overcome these obstacles. Sometimes it's hard to let go, but no one can heal your mind better than you can.

Another option: Toke it up. Srs.

putaginaj, thank you for the comment!  I might be able to deal if it was one thing but it feels like everything is falling apart. as for the smoke I cant I need to be clean so I can find another job.

he just said his pops is back to using...i wouldn't recommend toking

i do recommend strengthening the mind. Talking to those who have had similar situations help you understand people have been
through it and survived, which means you can too.

exercise to clear your mind. feel good about your body, makes you feel good about yourself.

appreciate every day things. focus on the positives.

something happened that changed how i thought.

you think you need to find the strength to keep going.  you don't.  eventually you realize that and you stop trying to find it and you just give up.  then you notice that a strength starts to come from some mysterious source inside of you, very naturally, and your life changes.  its the truth.

Eat right.

Exercise.

Spill your guts to someone you know who cares.

Don't fap.

Go to the park on a nice day and just sit. It'll be tough not to feel better.

I look to my mom. Looked at all the sacrifices she's made.

Tell myself if she overcame obstacles so can I.

Oh my bad OP. Like others said, exercising is highly recommended. Treat your body right and your mind follows.

I agree with much of what is said...been a difficult year for me as well, but I went from not caring to being in the best physical shape I have ever been in.  I like doing bootcamp type classes that push me mentally and physically.

Also, perspective has a lot to do with how life feels to you. You may have lost a lot, but there is a lot left and a lot ahead of you.

Mold your Qi into defense against failure.

I would say starting new routines you arent use to....because if you keep doing the same things you are doing right now and not getting to where you want to be.then its time for a change...change is always good...keep your head up brother..time heals everything

all responses in this thread except one......but especially curbsides points...

we all have times we feel extra low......and it really does feel like it will never be ok....but it will be.......good luck man

My kids. Just looking at them gives me all the strength I need. I need to continue fighting for them and their future.

It's overused but - someone always has it worse than you. You could be out on the streets. No clothes no shelter. I was feelin VERY stressed out because of my job a little while ago. Some stuff going on at home too. I just didn't wanna go on anymore. I never felt like that before. But I thought about it and I had a lot to be thankful for. and one day I just felt a lot better, still bad but better. Each day it got better and better. Idk how to explain how I got better.

Try and take each day at a time. If somethin would cause stress, remove yourself from the situation. Music helps a lot. There's always songs to help you in your mood

Walk, ride a bike for a long time, drive around bumpin your favorite music. Basically keep your mind busy so you won't have to think about whats happening and once you got your head on straight deal with the issues you're facing

Read some books and exercise. Use what's going on as motivation to succeed and overcome.

Read

Meditate <<<Highly recommend this...

Just go out into the world and just examine the beauty of it, all the inventions around you, the people, theirs losses there loves, everyone has a story your not alone, it's a normal part of life.

Do things you enjoy... eat something sweet that will make your taste buds scream... Or your favorite food...

Talk to some friends and have some laughs, It's alright to be sad, but being sad doesn't help your current situation, it only hinders your growth from that point.

Go to Africa and you will realize how great you have it.

Depression is a modern ailment of a first world life with no "real" stressors if you know what I mean. Any time I'm feeling down I realize there are plenty of people who don't know where their next meal is coming from, yet they are perfectly happy.

by going within and bonding with my spirit. it helps when you become aware of what really matters in this world (pure love, clarity, light) and stop caring/being concerned with all the other nonsense (distractions). this world is a stepping stone in your own greater existence. things may be difficult now, but be neutral to those challenges. learn what you can from them and move on.

do not spend an ounce of energy and brain waves on being negative. its a waste of time. you wont get the results you want every time, but atleast youre productive. 1 second of negativity is 1 second lost. even if it doesnt feel right, lie to yourself and be positive. put the negative aside like you have a negative filter on front of you. make the word non existant in your life.

you are not entitled to anything. AT ALL. just cause you failed at something once, doesnt mean you'll get the next one. there isnt a rule where it says ok by the 10th time....ill let you have it. life is random equations. it sucks when it sucks. and its great when its great. be happy all the way and deal with the possibilty of these equations. you make your life. whether you wanna cure it short term with drugs and alcohol. whether you wanna work hardcore 140% and play with the odds of being successful or a failure. or whether you want to be happy with a 30k job. whatever it is, you have already made what your life is to this point. you cant really control what happends around you. so dont depend much on them. its only you. live life like you had to write an amazing and detailed essay about it when you pass. dont write a boring story brah.
