I know rappers like to talk about violence, but do you think there should be an unwritten rule regarding the glorification of gangs.  Many people look to entertainers for fashion trends, when rappers walk around with the red on or blue, will this give young folk the feeling like "I want to be a blood like Lil Wayne because the red looks cool in the video"

So do you think this is going to far. 2 examples below

Let everybody tell it, "this is just entertainment"...however, I've BEEN thinkin that they've taken it too far. This isn't anything new, though...Wayne's been screamin that "Blood this, Blood that" for years now, and a lot of people don't take too kindly to that. Waka Flocka been givin shout-outs to Bloods like he's tryin to start a nationwide movement or somethin. The youth are more impressionable than ever, and they're just eatin this stuff up thinkin it's all fun and games

Yes, but people will continue to forever act like the congruence between the negative things promoted by the overwhelmingly majority of hiphop culture/rap music and the extent to which those are real problems in our community are just a coincidence. Oh, and of course blame the white man.

I remember turning the channel when this video came on.

I think it's a bit different because 2 of the biggest names in rap right now, Flocka and Lil Wayne are going real hard with this "Blood" crap.  They had Flocka on BET in front of all these little kids promoting that "Hard in the Paint" video.  Diplomats had their time when they were hot but they were never big like Lil Wayne.

Let me know when Wayne and Flaka call out a blood set they rep.

And not just saying damu and piru and other blood names, they obviously know nothing about. Lames.

No real G's respect their gang movement bc its false. But that's old news.

I hear what people say but if you letting a video decide what you doing in life as far as gangs/ other negative things they already lost. I don't think having a bunch of "nice videos" going to have dudes wanting to go the other way either though. Its usually what dudes are surrounded by.
