GOING TO VEGAS IN A WEEK VOL: Help me with my experience...

Use the discount show tickets booths for shows and dinner can end up saving a good amount depending on what you decide to do. Can go out to Town Square i guess....not sure why though unless you go for dinner.

this.
if you're going to vegas for more than 2 days, one day better be a trip to the grand caynon, the other day better be a trip to hoover dam, and ther other day better be a ski trip. other than that, it gets OLD FAST!

Visit the new City Center if you wanna get some expensive shopping done. or go to those 4 fer 9.99 tshirt joints to get cheap shopping done. not really a medium unless u head to the outlets.

also, might want to walk around the bellagio and enjoy the nice art work and choclate factory thingy.

if u dont drink, dont really know what to tell ya, maybe watch the real world las vegas to enjoy your stay or something

2 days? seriously? either you guys have short attention spans, or you just dont like to drink gamble and party that much. For atleast the last 10 years, I've been going out to Vegas several times each year.

For me, 4 days is the perfect length.

Thursday - arrive, chill, gamble
Friday - Club
Saturday - Gentlemens Club
Sunday - drag my half dead carcass home

csrvr? in the cosmo is a pretty dope sneaker spot that just opened up.

2-4 (4 bein the max) is the best time for a stay in vegas. anything longer and just feel like a zombie.

check out earl's sandwiches in ph, pretty good and open 24.

I've figured out that 4 nights, 3 days is the best trip length for me. Here's what we've been doin:

Thursday night - fly in, chill, get drunk at a random bar + gamble
Friday night - "guys" night
Saturday night - Clubbing night
Sunday - rest a little, catch a show, have a nice meal, gamble more (budget permitting
tongue.gif
)
Monday morning - fly home

Some general things:
-SHOWS: I recommend Blue Man Group (weird but dope) or the Jabbawockeez (inspiring--if you don't wanna go and dance after watching them, I don't know what to tell you). You might also go to Lion King which is pretty good.
-FOOD: If you're going to a buffet, opt for lunch instead of dinner.  It will be cheaper and the items are still pretty good. Also, late night breakfast specials can be had in a lot of places ($4.99 steak and eggs, etc.) Not the best quality but tasty as hell when you're ripped and just wanna eat.  If you have time, check out Hash House a-go-go which was one of the places featured on Man V. Food.  Last time I was there, I saw Al Harrington...by himself
laugh.gif
(yes it really was him). Serendipity right by Caesar's Palace is pretty good too (might I recommend the Kobe sliders? Also, try a "Frozen" Hot Chocolate--mindboggling..kind of).
-DURING the DAY: shopping (the outlets, Niketown, and Fashion Show Mall are my go-to spots), chill by the pool and have a beer, check out ESPN zone if you've never been to one.  Sit in a random sports book and watch some games.

Have fun!

CP?

hahaha me and my boys are in our 30's and the majority of us are still dirt poor and slum it (some worse than others).  No middle aged swag here.  Honestly, I usually only gamble about $1,000 per weekend, and give myself a $500 stop loss cutoff per day.  *Knock on wood* but I've never had a back to back $500 loss day, so I havent gone completely busto before Saturday yet.  If I had a particularly rough Thurs/Fri of gambling, I will usually ease up and just kick it in the sportsbook or play some low limit poker to slow burn and kill time.

CP is an old-%#@ regular in the S+T forum here, probably around your age.
My first time in Vegas, was when me and probably  3 other dudes just turned 21; plus we brought our own crews. We were rolling like 15 deep, some of us brought maybe 500 bucks total each, some less
eek.gif
30t6p3b.gif
Poor as hell college students basically some of them didn't even belong in Nevada, held us back big time
laugh.gif
The last time I went, I only went with 3 other dudes and it was way better cuz we all were a lil smarter and had a deeper budget and didn't have to accommodated the other stragglers that weren't as prepared as us
laugh.gif

How much total do you look to spend? 1000 gambling, what about other expenses?

500 for 2 nights was pushing it but doable, we just cut out clubbing
ohwell.gif
But night 1 we had a guys night and did our own thing like gambling and such. Night/Day 2 we just wandered around drunk all morning and night on the strip and tried to gamble and hit up all different bars on the strip
30t6p3b.gif
last time I upped it to 1000 total (not including gas, hotel) for 2nights/3days and that was fine
pimp.gif
but I still managed to gamble/spend most of it away
frown.gif
Trick for me was to start drinking in the morning so that I pass out in the afternoon and get fresh for the night around 6 or 7 saved alot of money that way while the rest of the guys were out gambling
laugh.gif
