Got into a argument with the girl vol marriage

was over my girl house playing cards with her and her OG and the convo changed over to when we plan on getting married
with out even thinking about it i said "i dont know cuz i dont see no positives that come from it other then a ring and being able to show it off "
the moment i said it only one thing came to my mind...................."now you know you done @%@!+* up right"
they both stone face me and the came to a end at this point i just knew i was gone need a drink before the night was over
we talk blah blah they wasnt able to give me any reasons that wasnt flawed

my question to you guys is

 is there any positives to getting married?

and yes i know i was wrong and got a strong feeling im going to pay for it all summer

You do not have to be married to hold each other down but to raise kids I think its a better idea.

You do not have to be married to hold each other down but to raise kids I think its a better idea.
