'Gotti: Three Generations' Biopic...Starring Pacino, Pesci, Travolta

Just last week we learned that Rain Man director Barry Levinson would replace Nick Cassavetes as director on the criminal biopic Gotti: Three Generationsstarring John Tavoltaas Gambino crime family boss John Gotti, Sr. Now we have word from THR that the film will reunite the director with his You Don't Know Jackstar Al Pacinowho has also joined the cast. Apparently Pacino will play Neil Dellacroce the Gambino crime family underboss and associate and mentor to Gotti, Sr. The last time Levinson and Pacino worked together, they got plenty of love from the Emmys (awards here), so maybe they can keep up the good work.



Gotti: Three Generations brings together a strange assembly of talent from Pacino, and another veteran of crime drama, Joe Pesci. In addition, Lindsay Lohan is on board to play the wife of John Gotti, Jr. But the strangest bit of casting has Travolta's real-life wife Kelly Preston and daughter Ella Bleu Tavolta playing Gotti Sr.'s wife and daughter. A rewrite just came in from James Toback, who worked with Levinson on Bugsyin 1991. The roles of Gotti Jr. and his sister Victoria have yet to be cast, so stay tuned as this project continues to develop, as I'm sure with these names casting won't take long to finish.

I think Travolta plays a great bad guy. In fact I like him better as a bad guy than anything else.

Physically I can see it too. They just need to lose the blue eyes and work some magic on the hair.

Travolta was great in Pulp Fiction...however, I usually find him to be comical as a villain. With some of his recent roles, I have a real hard time taking him seriously.
