Has anyone read the Bible? LOL @ these passages

Actually, those may have been taken literally when they were written, but today the point is to show the sincerity of fornication, adultery, disprespect to parents and so forth.. It may seem ridiculous because those things are generally accepted as a norm in this day and age, but to true Christians these things should be taken lightly... There are also books in the bible that foretold of false prophets and priests, the ones that tried to make Jesus a king, and whom he had to run from, the ones that ended up being embarassed and put to shame because Jesus exposed their falseness. THESE were the ones who put him to death.. Not that far fetched, whoever calls jesus a false prophet needs to dig a little deeper.

It's ironic this question even had to be asked. I'm dead a couple times just off that short list.

But hey maybe GOD meant death figuratively and you'll just lose your spot in Heaven until you repent and atone

So your saying that Christians should pick and choose what to take literally and what to take lightly?

Thad doesn't sound like a consistent approach at all.

I really don't understand peoples concept of the supremacy of King James Version when it clearly is empirical and is according his committee. It's comparable to George Bush writing a bible and republicans telling the rest of the world it;s official doctrine.
And the sabbath is Saturday. That is why in Spanish, Sabado(sabbath) is still Saturday and Domingo is Sunday. Something else they decided to change to create further dis harmony and illusion with religion. Look at what most people do on Saturdays. Is, beer, clubs, sports, how this country keeps the "Sabbath" holy?

Hey what do you know, that's why Jesus was killed. Always found it funny how Christians believe in someone who was a false prophet.

the same way muslims believe in a dead one too

I'm gonna take a wild guess and say a lot of that was in context to specific situations/maybe even time periods. That's 100% outlandish in this day and age bit I'm pretty sure back then it was the way of life.

just saying; but all these verses are from the Old Testament.

and also just saying, God sent Jesus Christ to come and fulfill all these laws in the Old Testament.

we are all now under "grace"

thank God that we DO NOT have to live by these laws anymore, or else we would be sacrificing animals all day. lol. but instead, Jesus Christ was the last and perfect sacrifice.

yes, i'm Christian if that matters.
