I use the term "hella" a lot. I live in the bay and thought it was used nationwide until a friend of mine from New York asked me why I used it a lot.

hella isnt even slang to the bay area, its a real word to us. even the nerdiest dudes i know use it


on a side note, I've heard Dr. Dre, Snoop, Murs, and many other LA artists use hella. Matter of fact alot of black dudes i know from LA use hella, everyone else is too proud of being from LA and has to talk @#$% on anything bay area related
