Cut out dairy and sugary foods. Stop masturbating so often (serious). Get epiduo from your derm. I did all of this and I have awesome skin now. I still have some scarring and hyper pigmentation on my temples, but are slowly fading away. I had moderate acne just a couple of months ago, and I've been so much happier since my acne has gone away. I wish you the best of luck. Don't pop them either, that will most likely cause scarring.

I went through that stage man u feel like u don't wana do anything for like 2 years I was like that thank god I went to see a dermatologist at kaiser I got cleared in a month never felt better. They prescribe you what u need according to your condition. If you dont have insurance, Go to kaisers pharmacy and you'll be able to buy benzoyl peroxide at a high dosage which isn't sold in regular stores which works wonders. Get it at 10% if it's too strong get it at 5%. It's only like 5 bucks too. TRUST!

Proof that fapping is related?

OP, your acne is the result of a hormonal imbalance, which is caused by insufficient nutrients.

get yourself acne-d and start taking 4 pills a day (2 in the morning, 2 in the evening).

after about 2-3 months, you'll see noticeable results.

I had a friend that had like the worse face ever, skin wise. He even had a quarter sized scar on his right cheek. I read a thread here on NT about pimples (I had a pimple on my forehead at the time) and I remember telling him what I read here, (Which was from another site) a couple of days after I read the thread. This regimen that I read about, worked wonders for dozens and dozens of people that had terrible, horrifying scars on their faces (Seeing each picture was like its own accident that couldn't be ignored).

Before I told him about the regimen, however, I asked him about what he's done and if he's gone to a dermatologist. He said he'd seen a dermatologist a couple of times; was prescribed medication, (Forgot the name of what he was prescribed - wasn't Accutane though) had his face chemically peeled and he stated that they did little to nothing.

I then told him about acne.org and this link: OMG!!!!! U GUYS MUST TRY THIS!!

I don't know exactly how long it took for his face to clear up but I saw him again during Winter Break after our first semester in college (I told him over summer break after our graduation) and I didn't notice any pimples, scars or dark marks. Also, I wouldn't recommend Accutane; here's a video of its side effects - he eventually recovered but this is definitely not something I'd want to go through, even for a single second.

whoa holy crap at the video above. man thats rough having skin that bad i feel bad for the kid.

i take accutane right now, its been working wonders, i reccomend it just make sure you're getting regular blood testing and whatnot done. i get it for free b/c of my health care but i hear its a bit expensive. worth it though, only side effect i've had is dry lips

acne.org. Saved my life. My skin is in no way great but so much better than it was before.

GO SEE A DERMATOLOGIST!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I have acne and i used to have it bad. I tried everything and i mean EVERYTHING and nothing was working. I went to the dermatologist he gave me a pill it calmed it down immediately. I got retin-a and a benzoile (sp?) peroxide for night and day. My acne has been under control now for a good 2 years. If you are prone to acne don't go into any treatment thinking your going to go from bad to perfect. You wont ever be perfect (sorry). You will still have a break outs. But believe me i went from 5-6 pimple break outs where im like well....its been worse. To now i have one pimple like every 2 weeks and im like aw damn. But its way way better now

Accutane, bruh. It has pretty serious side effects, but it works miracles.

yeah, see a dermatologist . . . and accutane does WONDERS. i was on retin-a too, but accutane did the thing. everything has some side effects, but it's up to your dermatologist to decide.

but you'll still get acne well into adulthood, just not as bad as when you're younger.

stress and diet and how you manage it plays a HUGE role too. stay hydrated, cut back on greasy / junk foods, exercise, get rest / good night's sleep and overall just relax. everyone gets acne in varying degrees and it's normal.

ok ok for those who asked me about chem peel sessions:

i had them done about 5 years ago because i had some slight acne scars (that was only really noticeable in light, but still)

it was five sessions at 100 bones a pop. they basically pour this face acid on your and it burns and peels off the top layers of your skin so yes, your face will be nice and red for a couple days after treatment.

once that simmers down though, the peeling process begins and once you've "recovered" from a session (a couple of weeks) you go for your next one until you're done

EDIT: i took accutane in highschool as well. it does work phenomenally well but be prepared for the moisture-draining effects (i remember waking up with my entire forearm covered in this dry scabby-like residue from the medication draining me)

bottom line is: the things that suck for a while are usually the most effective

Wow I never had thismproblem, but reading this makes me think I'm hella lucky.. I got other problems that i got 2 deal with...it's cool that a lot of y'all have the SOLUTION to opS thread

OP don't listen to these clowns talking biology. Acne is a spiritual problem. You obviously don't pray enough and God has placed a plague on your face. Go to church and repent.

I find this interesting because I heard Accutane has of the side-effects of "suicide" but I wonder if its because people FEEL depressed rather than the drug causing them to have suicidal thoughts.

Don't get down man...many of us have been there.

Cut out greasy foods, sodas and stop popping them when they appear. Wash your face thoroughly with face wash, not body wash. Your young and worst case go and see a dermatologist.

this. also stop masturbation, on the the real OP

Just go see a dermatologist.

I use to be like you but I have eczema on my face.

My face would stay red, itchy, and ashy.

It will never go away but it's way better now.

masturbation does NOT cause acne. the bodily processes of masturbation and sex between people are the same. so if masturbation caused acne, then so would sex. it's not like we have a global acne epidemic on our hands. stop the ignorance.

Do y'all use like a moisturizer for your face? I'm Black and Japanese, so my skin is like weird.

Yes, this is necessary. Get used to moisturizing your face. Everyone's skin is different, but it's important to get a routine going and stick with it. Cleanse and moisturize.

It's worse if you have oily skin. It highlights my scars even more. My skin gets oily after an hour maybe less of washing my face. Oil glands must be like an oil field. :{ My large pores and sweat doesn't help either. Any good product (topical and/or oral) for oily skin that lasts throughout the day and closes the pores?

OP, don't waste time. See a dermatologist.

Get Cetaphil Oily Skin Cleanser (Be sure to check the label as there are a few different types of cleansers Cetaphil offers). It's the best over-the-counter face wash for oily skin.

Thanks True Blues. I think I used it before but ran out because it was a small bottle but never bought it again. I'll get it from the store today. See the Cetaphil cleansers at the doctors office all the time it must be the truth.

No oily foods was the main case for me. As long as I stayed away from that, I was good. IDK if genes played a role when I was that age but my acne was non existent as long as I stayed away from oily foods like I said.

There's ways to fix this bro. Dont harp on it and let it get you down.

I had the worst case of acne growing up and during that time, I've tried everything. I finally said **** P Diddy's commercial and I'm going to my doctor. She prescribed me Minocycline ($15+/bottle w/ insurance). I've been acne free ever since (2 years) and I barely wash my face or use sunblock moisturizers.
now im the most handsome guy in this thread
