best guess timeline is this --

8 weeks lockdown
~1 year of resumption of life, but not really normal. big gatherings limited, return to lockdown in regions that have new outbreaks
18 months from now, we get a vaccine and things start going back to fully normal, although this is going to change things forever. big crowds/parties/gatherings/etc will be decreased

Best hope is that they hold off the virus just enough to not overrun the hospitals and have a miracle vaccine or treatment by early next year

Other than that yeah, there is no good plan. The economy going to hit the gutter too

I think it's going to calm down in the summer months but if we are not prepared it will come back with a vengeance in the fall.

Base case scenario, asymptomatic cases clear up on their own during the two week quarantine, whatever diseased covered surfaces that exist die over that time period, serious cases are handled (terribly) by hospitals, while locations like restaurants, bars, etc. continue with a month long shutdown?

Sounds shaky but better than nothing I guess...

We were only able to give out 1000 yesterday because we were so low on cash. People been taking out large amounts left and right. Then again some people are depositing large amounts too.

Damn can’t even take out more than 5k cash at the bank

I don’t get why people are pulling out large amounts like this. Credit cards still work.
All this will do is deplete the banks of cash reserves.

They’re where Italy was 3/1. 17 days out from having 32,000 confirmed cases. I think that’s a vastly under rated number.
Unless they’re assuming 90k are infected by then, and only 40% need beds.
