I was supposed to move to CHI to take on a job offer back in the summer. Set my location on the apps just to scout and matched with this snow bunny on Hinge. Didnt take the job and decided to stay in NYC but I've been talking to shawty here and there.

Flights are currently low af too. But I've seen soo many horror stories on social media lately.

@bxbadboy90 like me pay for the flight? Never playa but her fly to me on her own expense yes she was from Tucson and she was sending all the snaps and talkin up some big game . At the end it was average but it was a experience nonetheless.

Definitely a good experience and worth it if you have the time and disposable income (see below).

Flights could be the cost of an Uber. I ain't NEVER ever flying a chick out to me. Back in the day told a girl to ride her brother's bike over to come see me. Doing things like that my guy you setting a BAD precedent. She going to expect you to pay for the entire trip, food, drinks, probably try and finesse you for some clothes.

I can't co-sign this verbatim but I do believe a huge part of dating in general is expectation management. So flying her out on your dime will definitely set a precedent. I also think she will expect you to splurge to an extent so be wary of that.

This was me in the past. I didn't fly them out (I did go visit them too) but I always paid for food/drinks because that's what I would do normally. Nothing like clothes or gifts, though.

Lastly and maybe more importantly, this. I do my due diligence on every woman I date but I personally wouldn't get travel involved with someone I didn't meet in person or talk to/get to know pretty well and video chat with first.

It's weird because y'all are right and I KNOW y'all are right but going on dinner dates has just become a (bad) habit for me It has always been the most convenient because I have to eat anyway so it kind of kills two birds with one stone But at the same time, the best dates I've had definitely were not dinner dates or the most expensive. Effort + Thought in a date will go a lot further than $$$ if a woman is truly into you.
