IMO saying you don't see yourself getting married then eventually getting married isn't as bad as doing a 180 in the other direction. I don't know these women personally but based on the backstory they seem upset that they didn't get chose (or they choose the wrong ones along the way) so now they use their independence to boost themselves up.
I'm not saying there is anything wrong with being single or independent because I know people change. However, being vocal and doing that switch up is funny style to me

Yeah that’s exactly it. Also a lot of people (men and women) hop on these apps thinking they’re gonna find someone that’s not even checking for them. My girl knows a bunch of women that are 5’s or 6’s at best that have been on the dating apps for years looking to settle down. In her words, they all think just because a good looking or high earning guy has matched with them and smashed, that one of those same guys is gonna lock them down. They eventually give up on those dreams and either settle for a an average looking, average earning dude or they just embrace being independent. It is what it is.
Kinda similar thing with some guys…if you knock off a few 5’s or 6’s from the apps and start feeling yourself you suddenly start thinking you can get those 8’s, 9’s and 10’s or think you can be a little more picky and it doesn’t happen
Only difference is most dudes are realistic and take what they can get on the apps. You won’t hear a man complain about smashing a 5/10, a McDonald’s worker (no offense) or something. But an average looking woman is definitely gonna swipe past the average looking dude with a blue collar job in most cases.

Sounded like she had moved recently so she probably didn't even know them that long/well. I doubt they all were smashing...if any otherwise at least one would have done it.
Moving somewhere without knowing the lay of the land is what stands out to me the most. Probably had to break her lease. Father failed on multiple levels.
