At the most maybe an app and 1-2 (bar-rail) drinks if you do end up at a restaurant. Anyone 'expecting' a meal on the first meetup is a scammer/free-loader.

I've been with women who talked that **** for other dudes. Hell I even been covered when funds were low (best laid plans ****** by an autodraft bill). Funny bit is they reserve that expensive 1st date meal for dudes they're not even that into so he's gotta fill the gap somehow in their head.

I have no idea where women got these unrealistic standards from but I blame it on social media. Itās not like most of these women grew up eating at Nobu and expensive steakhouses with their dad covering the bill. Most people donāt even do that on a regular basis, let alone with a stranger.

The rise of the social media influencer has been terrible. I think the pandemic ramped everything up a level as well.

I 100% say itās social media. Before you would only see stuff like that regularly on tv, now you have people always trying to one up each other or feeling envious that they donāt get that same treatment.

Saw this post on FB and the comments from all the women were wild. Exact why you do a happy hour, women out here trying to break your pockets on the first date. I got it, but don't mind I am trying to spend it on every woman I go out on a date with. Wild she jumps from splitting tabs then kids, that is a long process in between "usually."

One of the major "problems" with nice dinner first dates is expectation management. If you lead off with that, it can set a bad precedent. You've now raised the floor to the ceiling. It depends on the chick and what both of you want, though. Whether it's dinner, FroYo or a walk in the park, as long as you are comfortable enough to be yourself and it was within your means then I see no harm in whatever date option you choose

I am not sure if you are 100% SRS but that's always been a part of my logic. I HAVE to eat so it kills two birds with one stone
As for their food....y'all sharing or what? I know some people (both men and women) are really particular about that. I can go either way tbh.

My go to was always this bar by the beach, a hookah lounge or mini golf if I was messing with a young one.

With my current gf, I think I spent $300 on the first date. In NYC so we went to this rooftop bar and got two drinks each and an appetizer for like $100+ not including tip. We bar hopped to a couple of other spots after that. I went to the bathroom at the next spot and when I came back she had a drink waiting on me that she ordered and paid for.
I donāt buy any of these rules. If a woman likes you that **** is a non issue.
