I'm seeing a dude who rode the wave of protests against police brutality tell folks that "we are past kneeling" and partner with a "thoroughly vetted" organization that can't wait to put black faces on the current police system in exchange for $70k. They are playing a former drug dealer's songs to antagonize folks who want to see a fair justice system.

Y'all need to stop treating these celebrities like religious idols. They're human and they're flawed. Just because they make dope art doesn't mean that their character can't be ****. And if they lose fans because of their behavior is judged reprehensible, so what? They deserve it.

The fundamental problem of Black people in America is in the way they are seen/portrayed/represented and the policies that are derived from that perception. What has he done to make Black folks be seen in a better light in this country? Nobody will write a children's book about the ascent of Jay-Z to rap's Mt Rushmore because we all know where he came from and what he rapped about.

Jay-Z helped himself. He did tremendously well for himself, and if a black issue was a money-making avenue for him, he was on it until it stopped being profitable.
