Benjamin Franklin died on April 16th 1790. He left 1000 pounds sterling ($4500) each to the cities of Philidelphia and Boston in his will. There was a stipulation that 75% of the money could be used 100 years after his death and the remaining 25% 200 years after his death.
After the first 100 years, thanks to compounding interest, the trusts in Boston and Philadelphia were worth almost $400,000 and $100,000, respectively, prior to any disbursements. (The amounts differed due to each city’s financial strategies and investment paths.) By 1990, the remaining amounts had grown to $4.5 million for Boston and $2 million for Philadelphia, as a result of compounding.

Didn't know that about James Cameron.
Just googled it and he went on his own. Took 2.5 hours to reach where he wanted to go. His submersible suffered a leak after 3 hours. He had to jettison the weights that helped him stay down. Got back to the surface in 70 min.

Never knew the movie saw was based off a real person. A twisted, evil Dr named HH Holmes. I ran across a show about him today and his own diary he acknowledged that he was born with the devil in him.
