IMO Packages are ILLEGAL

at all yall sayin you dont have to buy shoes, you dont have to buy a computer either, so this is like MS and JB doin something similar because theyre both alarge portion of their industry, MS in computers and JB in sneakers

like I said, talk to some lawyers about the legality of it

Not being a lawyer, I can't commit to it's legality on paper. That said? ..drugs are illegal ..pretty sure they sell well. Not being a smarta$$, justsayin' ..being illegal, doesn't in and of itself stop anything from occuring. Okay, say you found out it's illegal, you sue & get paid?

Nah that wouldn't work at all. But I still think it's fowl to have to buy a package to get one shoe you want which is why I haven't bought one forretail yet. Yea its Jordan but he aint payin my bills either. JB is making twice as much for a normal retro release and laughing to the bank while we get stuckwith some bum !%% shoe

The concept of what your talking about unfortunately just wouldn't hold up...all you need is ONE person to stand up and say "yes I would buy a packwith those (insert type/# of shoes) in it...and that's it, your argument fails......I get what your saying though....and yes Microsoft did get sued forthat, but that lawsuit didn't really go to far either because here we are today and Microsoft continues to do the same thing, windows still comespre-bundled with IE etc....they just don't lock you down to a particular piece of software...but the problem with that example though is there is too manyvariables....in this case, you either like the package or you don't...and unfortunately, for this particular lawsuit to even remotely stand a chance in anycourt, you would have to have every last JB fan say "I don't like every single pack (for one reason or another), and that is just impossible becausethat's how JB is.....

The best advice I can give you about packages, something I've noticed myself doing is one of two things: Either split packs with one of your homies/etc.,or hit up Ebay or wherever and only buy one of the shoes in the pack separately...I know that's the more expensive route to go a lot of the time, butthat's just life....sometimes something won't always be the way you envisioned it....and that's the perfect business model if you ask me, becauseJB knows that even if the other shoe is completely horrendous, someone out there will buy it for both of them, and if there is AT LEAST ONE shoe you like,you'll buy it anyway....we complain a lot about JB and the way they do things, but the fact remains: all their releases sell out consistently, and peoplecontinue to support their brand....

The only way JB will ever change is if something drastic within their business model changes, like sales suddenly evaporate...this is whats happening with themajor automobile companies, and look at them; they're having to restructure the way they do business with the consumer....this WILL NEVER happen in thecase of JB so long as people continue to make their brand one of the best selling brands in athletic apparel/sneakers etc....
