Curious what to expect?
Any places that I should check out for food related fulfillment?

I know it's gonna be cold, but is there any tips you Canadians have for me?

Thanks,
D

Check out the "Food Spots in Toronto"thread for a good selection of restaurants and pick what you like accordingly.

Lots of decent bars/clubs to check out. Pick up a Now Magazine or The Grid T.O. – both free weeklies – to see what's going on then. They're both widely available in streetcorners downtown and bars/clubs/restaurants.

It should give you a pretty good guide to events/nights in the city....

Thanks to both of ya for the help....
I'm staying right next to the Toronto Congress Center near the airport and I will not have a car....
basically in town for a show, then right back to Cali.... =(

I hear the weather will be chilly so I better bring out my winter clothes....

tks.

what show?
i've been to the congress centre for a 1 week seminar, there's nothing around there

you could take a TTC bus (public transit) to the subway line and go downtown for some shopping
Yorkdale Station (Yorkdale shopping mall)
Bay Station - Nike Toronto (flagship store), Capsule (sneaker store), Holt Renfrew (upscale department store), all designer brands in that area
Dundas or Queen Station (Eaton's Centre shopping mall)
St. Andrew Station (walk west on Queen St., far and in between University and Dufferin there are lots of stores)

these are just general locations.. you can cover much ground around Eatons and Queen St.

it should be cold around that time
