There's a difference between being emo because it's fashionable and being emo because you actually have psychological issues.

Good book.  RIP.

I think the appeal in this book is that it's a very easy read so it grabs younger readers, but its depth allows it to be analyzed like a real novel.

A bit of advice to anyone in HS. Keep track of what books your reading and have to read, and a few years after you're out go back and reread them. Amazing how much more you sill get out of them and enjoy. One of the best things I've ever done. Well enough general for me, just one last goodbye to JD. And yes Phoebe was awesome in the book, she cracked me up
