No but really, I don't think it's possible for him to be overrated.  Is he even mainstream?  No one here knows who he is, but I'm also in the Midwest so that has a lot to do with it.

You can' t fight Niketalk, especially since there is a lot of d riding of artists in here. When he's being compared to Lupe, overrated. When XXL has him on their bracket, Overrated. When people type furiously behind thier keyboards defending some dude that's is only as talented as any of the other "underground " Mc's,  he's overrated. As stated overrated =/= skill, as 'artist vision' =/= skill. If you don't think he's overrated read some of his youtube comments, check other blog sites, talk to any hipster that listens to rap. Trust when I find someone who actualy does listen to Jay ElecHanakah, there is nothing but praise and admiration for a rapper that hasn't "proven" anything. Drop an  album then we can start making threads about him. Jay Electronica is just the next big "I'm a real hip hop fan cuz I like *insert random rapper with message*" Have fun with Jay hopefully his career pans out.

How can you use Lupe as the bar though? Hardly anybody is seeing Lupe.
