Come on.... Jay has based his career on his flow(s).... Fast slow in between.... Multis etc.... His message is not what necessarily defines him because hismessage is all about him.... Versatility lyric wise is lacking ... I could see you knocking him for being shallow self centered and perhaps selfish but toknock his flow is blasphemy.... Execpt "forever young".... That song is horrible 360 His first two verses in new York is probably the toughest flowpattern I've heard in a while.... For him to spit that and not write it down is genius in itself.... what we need to realize is that hip hop is being so watered down (on radio) and were making good rappers look bad. We need to revolt and ask for better hip hopinstead of this bs we call radio hip hop. rappers are writing to get on the radio and make that money. we use to have wu tang on the radio now you cant hearanything from them other than 1 verse from c.r.e.a.m. when a dj uses it as a transition. its so sad

extremely subpar in comparison the Jay-Z of, lets say 03'-04' and prior. I'm not referring to content, his style of rap has changed drasticallyalmost like he had a rap identity crisis. A few years back he was inventing styles of rhyme that people mimicked, these days it seems like he's jumping onrhyme style bandwagons. I truly believe that he should've stopped rapping a few years ago, but the fact that people are getting in his head telling himthese lies of his "greatness" will keep him rapping.
