****** will give us a space jam box before fixing the actual shoe and raising the mudguard.
Will the 11s also have this box? Or just the 9s?
I really don’t understand JB lol
.
If the 11s were the movie version then it could’ve been a possibility. Jordan Brand is literally showing individuals the truth. I remember they were supposed to release a pair based off the movie soundtrack cover; they could possibly have this box too.
Its a lot planned for Space Jam 30. Including some fire NBHD Product.
I can only speak to my personal experience but growing up even before the 2016 space jam marketing setup, I always did associate those 9’s with the movie, but I grew up watching it a lot. I still do agree it’s a cheap copout by NikeThe marketing people at Nike/JB these days will shovel whatever nonsense they can to tell any kind of story. Especially when they’re desperate for a story and they don’t think there’s much of a genuine one to fall back on. There’s practically no on-court story for the IX, so the SJ angle was created almost out of nothing.
Jeezus, the II gets more on-screen run than the IX, thanks to Bill Murray. Surprised it hasn’t occurred to anyone over there to market the II as a Space Jam product, especially since it tends to never sell well on its own.
But it’s all nonsense to anyone who knows anything about anything.

A lot of the sneaker community were calling them the Space Jam 9's before Nike. The public probably actually forced Nike to include it.
You gotta admit this scene was pretty epicA lot of people where? Certainly not on this site. Maybe some new Gen Z social media thing?
Regardless. My point wasn’t really to complain about some new generation referring to them as such. Or to dog any one person who does.
The point is, the IX is ONLY associated with the movie because it briefly appears. It’s a very slight association; the II makes a more prominent appearance so why not refer to the Chi II as the Space Jam II? Yet no one does.
It’s nonsense—and selective nonsense at that.
But hey, no one is going to change it. But I’ll also keep rolling my eyes at it.![]()
