You're right, these look somewhat devoid of purple. They look like something Chris Paul would wear in road games with his Jordan Brand hookup when he played for the New Orleans Hornets based on the speculated colorway.

I always had a feeling either these never got to Chris Paul to wear on court or they were just a drawing board concept that's finally being manufactured after all these years when these were announced.

Coincidentally, some of us on here already felt that this retail version coming out pretty much resembled a custom pair of V that Paul wore when he played for the Hornets before this one was posted.

I used my illustration program that I use for my digital art so it isn't as neat as a photoshop edit, but this is what came to mind when thinking of the 8's Aqua colorway on a Jordan 5. Could definitely use a bit more refinement but you get the picture.

Interesting rendition, Forest Hatfield I would still have the tongue be reflective and don’t forget the glitter possibly on the shark teeth. The patch on the back is an excellent touch instead of the usual Jumpman.

Crazy thing is , about 10 yrs ago, people were going crazy for these and wanting this color way because they were Chris Paul PE Hornets 5's. Now, it's no love for this color way. SMH. As long as the material is right, I will be copping.
