Players say that a lot, I mean if he doesn't get the contract he wants, he won't stay for less. Hometown discounts rarely exist, and shouldn'tOriginally Posted by dmxfury

We can't imagine any NFL team that wouldn't want to add Josh Cribbs to their roster: he's electrifying as a return man, Wildcat QB, receiver, running back ... he could probably even drop some jaws climbing the stadium stairs working as the beer man. We also can't imagine the Cleveland Browns letting go of him, even though he's really upset right now. He's just too good on the field -- and too cheap -- to let go.
But with the San Francisco 49ers in dire straits in the return game -- Matt Maiocco of the Santa Rosa Press Democrat lists "return specialist" as one of the top two offseason needs -- and possessing two picks in the first round (No.'s 13 and 17 overall), might a trade be worked out?
Although this suggestion is wildly hypothetical -- and pretty unlikely -- a trade could become possible at some point if Cribbs and his agent back up their tough talk this offseason and force the Browns' hand. For now though, Maiocco tweets that "Holmgren has more urgent concerns."

If Cleveland wanted to, they can force him to sit out for the next 3 years and only get paid that $900,000 he's getting paid now. Basically freeze his talent up.
The Browns will make 1 of 3 things happen.
1. Force him to sit out 3 years. Nothing Cribbs can do about that but play if he chooses.
