July 12 The Government will Start monitoring your ISP! Spread the Word!

RawStory.Com reports that If you download potentially copyrighted software, videos or music, your Internet service provider (ISP) has been watching, and they’re coming for you.

Specifically, they’re coming for you on Thursday, July 12.

That’s the date when the nation’s largest ISPs will all voluntarily implement a new anti-piracy plan that will engage network operators in the largest digital spying scheme in history, and see some users’ bandwidth completely cut off until they sign an agreement saying they will not download copyrighted materials.

Word of the start date has been largely kept secret since ISPs announced their plans last June. The deal was brokered by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Motion Picture Association of America (MPAA), and coordinated by the Obama Administration. The same groups have weighed in heavily on controversial Internet policies around the world, with similar facilitation by the Obama’s Administration’s State Department.

The July 12 date was revealed by the RIAA’s CEO and top lobbyist, Cary Sherman, during a publishers’ conference on Wednesday in New York, according to technology publication CNet.

The content industries calls this scheme a “graduated response

I tried to teach you guys but I keep falling on def ears

Either get a VPN or stick with usenet it has been the only form of downloading on the Internet to be around from start to now and provides the highest form of encryption

Damn. No more porn. It's like the government is watching while I shake things up in my bed [emoji]128560[/emoji]

Only thing is, you have to pay for both of those, but they're worth it.

NT is about to look like:

I've barely downloaded anything since they shut down all the popular and fast sites

.  I've been spending a lot of money on Amazon Video.

I worked for an ISP up until 2 weeks ago and yes, +%*+ could get real.

Just not sure how serious the companies(ISPs) will take this. They receive subpenas and other forms of warnings from the "industry" in regards to specific IPs downloading copyrighted content anyway.
