Just moved to Las Vegas...

1. So what happens with your salary in this case? Is it adjusted since you are moving to a weaker market?

2. What are your general expectations on how your living experience will be out there?

Aiight, I dunno what their policies are because of COVID-19, but this is the place to go. My buddy's cousin used to be a chef in Vegas, and said this is the place all the chefs go to when they're off since it's open late.

Started making it a tradition to close out every CES (RIP) trip at this place. Highly recommend making a reservation... But holy ****, it's so god damn good.

My aunt and her husband live out in Henderson, she would take my fam to Fiesta Casino for free food

With that said, even if I was offered a free crib out there, I'd respectfully decline.

LOL, man I feel you I got something decent that I can flip it's a lot of military out here so I know that I can flip it. I'll probably move back to VA I like the area and the people.

Salary will go up a few grand for the move and position not too many folks wanted to do the move here. My expectations I don't have many really I just want to be in a warmer climate for a while I've always lived in a four season climate so I'm welcome to change.

Did you guys end up with a new build? Me and my family just moved to Vegas from California.

No I didn't get a new build here our house out in Upper Malboro, MD was a new build in 2017 which we are currently renting out.

Ahhh okay. They are building a lot out here right now so i was curious if you went with something new. We bought on the West side which is considered Enterprise but pretty close to the airport.

Do people even LIVE on the Strip.??????

Not really, might be some, or an apartment complex near the Northern tip I am forgetting, but I don't think so.

People live on Las Vegas Boulevard but the strip itself is a subsection of Las vegas Boulevard. It is mainly casino and shops on the Strip.

Now one street over, or a couple block over then yes, but these places are usually not the best areas. However there are nice areas were you can be within a 10 mins away from the Strip.

Downtown is the same situation but Downtown is keeping cleaned up.

Got you.

Do you ever see Marcus Banks or Pierre Jackson around?

You can rent or buy one of the suites at like the Cosmopolitan, Waldorf or Jockey club on the strip ...You getting taxed something crazy for like 800sf tho  , but yea doubt its anywhere for “regular folk” to live there

When - if - things get back to normal, and you're on the strip, Mandalay Bay has a lot of good eats. We stay there every year for CES. Stripsteak is amazing, second best steak I've ever had (first best being in Australia, because their steak is superior), and KUMI is real good, too.

If you're ever looking for some good late night food that isn't crazy expensive, Citizens is open 24/7 and never disappoints.

This whole *** thread got me missing Vegas.

Never been to Vegas but I want to go.

hey man not much into vegas info but check out cirque de solei at the Luxor hotel.
hear the shows amazing

I've always liked Fuku Burger when I'm out there. Its hispter'ish though, but its good if you want to explore outside of the strip. I've gone to the Chinatown one a few times. http://www.fukuburger.com/

I like going out to Vegas, but I've stayed out there for almost a month and was bored out of my mind. Even daily drinking and gambling got old for me quick. I still plan to move out there one of these days if it doesn't go well with the current job. I miss it out there, but I don't plan to visit right now despite it being cheap and empty.

^ It is. I've frequented the LA one a few times. The Vegas one is cool, but I prefer it out in LA.

I hate how they ask me for a nickname for the order, and refuse to just call it my "your order". **** is corny and annoying. I always am like ok "deez nutz"
