I see absolutely nothing wrong with being generous to a woman, that is just as generous toward you. I personally have been very fortunate with the women I have been with, even the one night stands, because I was taught to not lie to women, be real with them. In college I lost my mind, sexing everything that moved, serious numbers I am talking here. During a brief hiatus from my wife, I did my thang again, but did it even better. I never messed with any women that did not have her own paper. Doing such is a major league bad move. I am not here to save someone who is not attempting the help themselves, especially someone who cannot even buy me a damned sandwich if need be, especially if she is asking for steak. I honestly do not even know the horrible people that I have been both reading then hearing about on this thread, do not even see them. In that I am grateful to my ancestors for protecting me, and my family, from such scoundrels.

But I know I have MET someone somewhere and was asked for gas money. This was like the 2nd or 3rd time seeing them. Barely knew them. I just felt that was bold as hell and just indirectly told me what has "worked" for them in the past.

I've told girls that I'll buy them snacks from the, store, I'll take em to a fast food, or we can go out to eat afterwards, but I am not paying for movie food, and almost all them have given me problem about it. It even my own damn mother. Like I just paid for the ticket, buy your own damn food from here if you want it. Those prices are unethical. Calling me "cheap" and "thoughtless". Foh.

Same w/ food I'll the offer to buy them there own **** just don't ask for mine, they say no just ask for some of my ****. Then I'm the bad guy for saying "no". I'm driving one day and homie wouldn't take no for answer, so she just took this big *** bite outta burger while it was in my hand. **** had me tight, I threw that **** out the window.

Not for nothing, that gas thing just brought back some very annoying memories. I ain't offering you gas money unless I ask you take me somewhere. That gas money thing is privilege not an obligation. She bit my ******* burger.

I was just talking to my home boy. I’m in my 40s. He’s in his 30s.

We don’t mess with those type of women.

I can understand a 20 year old dealing with that. Just like it’s possible a you g woman might have to deal with a dude who doesn’t have a car. But there are varying demographics in this thread. And it depends on the type of energy you want in your relationship. If you going after the type Game wants, cool. In my opinion, it usually leads to control issues and attracting a parasitic entity. Then there’s the genuine good spirit who is trying to build with you. Though it was toxic, my ex had no issue with paying for the check, a trip, etc.

It is unfortunate when people of equal means meet, and then do not hit it off in a relationship. It is like dudes feel more comfortable being with needy women, and some women feel more comfortable being with insecure men. It is telling that in this society, many are not taught to seek out those who share the similar personalities, goals and aspirations.

^^^My last girl made more than me. Straight up. I wasn’t embarrassed. She did the work to graduate from Georgetown and get a nice corporate gig.

Honestly, the ones I hit it off with were the doctors, the VPs, the lawyers, etc. The headaches were the ones asking for gas money. I haven’t really been dating much since the pandemic but the last two I dated were also trying to be lawyers and had good jobs.

I literally had one. She got a communications degree. Never used it. And then was working in Old Navy (which is fine...it’s a real job). She’d come over my crib and Netflix and chill. It got boring. I had another one who probably got one too many crab cakes on a date and just gave off gold digger vibes. A friend hooked it up. The dues wife told her to get with a military dude. I wasn’t trying to take care of her *** (though it was very nice) and her two kids. She didn’t bring nothing to the table except hungry mouths.

Like I said, if you want to be Game...cool. I have a friend. He’s “old fashioned.” He likes his women like that. And then it always blows up in his face. Or they get tired of womanizing. Or boredom.

I've mentioned this earlier in this thread, I know quite a few Black women millionaires through my wife. In conversations one of the things they always mention is to how men will try and impress them, handle them, as if they need to. The traditional role of being the breadwinner, and then not being able to afford the lifestyle that some of these women can afford for themselves, usually places egotistical men, misogynist men, in an unfamiliar position. One spoke of having to soothe one cat's ego by giving him money upfront before they went out, so that he would not feel bad when it came time to pay for dinner. This was after he had lost his gig, then became saddled with child support. I had another tell me as to how this dude attempted to tell her that she did not know how to manage her money correctly, and that her accountant was stealing from her. It turned out to be some bull, but there are dudes out here that really and truly, cannot handle playing second fiddle in a relationship.

As far as Game is concerned? Well, his moniker is Game.

I have an ex I dated. She clearly looked like the Games type. She was coming off of a marriage where her man showered her with trips, designer, gave her a shoe room, maintained a house he couldn’t afford.

I came along. Not my style. She flew to see me. Took her to this nasty sex hotel one time. She was a nice woman. Actually very old fashioned (but definitely had some thot in her). Alas, it didn’t last. Tossed her to the side. The next dudes repeated the same trap the husband did. Worse part? She gets bored. And all they’re really doing...is enabling her to stack her chips, invest, etc.
